Anxiety - Panic - Depression

Life is hard - but it can be managed.  Sometimes we need a little help though to get through - sometime we need a lot.

For Anxiety or Panic the oils used by many are similar - Lavender, Orange, Lemon, Serenity, Aroma Touch, Elevation, Balance, Breathe.  Those are the top choices most use.  So there are plenty to choose from so that you can find the 'right' one for you.

For depression - Lemon, Frankincense, Lavender, Bergamot, Elevation, Balance, Citrus Bliss

As you can see the Lavender, Lemon, Elevation, and Balance are listed for all of them.  So if you suffer like most with both depression and anxiety you still have several choices.

Fibromyalgia - only read if you want your life back : )

Fybromyalgia is one of many that are ultimately traced back to poor nutrition and inflammation ie. candida being a major culprit. If you can correct the nutrition, reduce stress and control the candida the problem should correct over time. There is no overnight fix but changes should occur with in 90 days. It may take 12 months to feel like a new person.

I recommend lots of whole fresh foods and as much organic low fat (ie. greens not avocados) raw foods as possible.

Life Long Wellness pack
GX and PB assist monthly
Daily use of oils like Lavender (or other calming oils) and citrus oils such as grapefruit in a capsule or under the tongue.

And of course last but not least some form of aerobic exercise as simple as walking or stationary rowing, biking and walking machines.

Why Essential Oils? Why doTERRA?

Essential oils are like mother natures medicine cabinet.  They are 70x more powerful than herbal medicines (dried herbs).  For example one drop of peppermint is as powerful as 28 cups of peppermint tea.  If you have an upset tummy and you are using peppermint for relief, one drop is easier to stomach than 28 cups.

Hundreds of ailment can be remidied with essential oils - right from home with no doctor visit.  Everything from colds to weight, anxiety to morning sickness.  Many oils have multiple uses!

The other day I got a steam burn while cooking I used Lavender and it took the pain away.  And today I had a painful hangnail that was turning red with infection again a drop of Lavender took the pain away and it's not red like it was this morning.  I know a family who uses Serenity to calm ADHD and another who uses Serenity for stress and anxiety. I know a family that uses clove and lemongrass to not only stop taking thyroid medicine for hypothyroidism but has tested in the normal range after stopping the meds and just using the oils. I know of a family who had a young girl having 6-8 seizures a day that no modern medicine was helping - they started her on Frankincense and the seizures have lessened to 1 or a week.  The stories are endless.

Why do I trust doTERRA Essential Oils?

Breathe - does exactly what it says; good for those who suffer from Asthma Attacks

I rub breathe on the bottom of my kids or my husbands feet at night to help improve their breathing.  Especially when a head cold is coming on.  It helps them breathe through the night and clears the stuffiness.  As an added benefit the nights my husband uses it he doesn't snore.  His snoring wasn't load and obnoxious, but at times I would have to ask him to roll over.  I no longer have to do this.

Asthma Attacks, triggered by any number of things, also see an improvement when using Breathe.  Rub Breathe on your hands put it under the nose and inhale as best as you can.  You can also diffuse it into the air.  Also rub it on the chest, throat, or back for relief.

Oils contained in this blend:

Laurel Leaf (Bay)- Helps with asthma, bronchitis, and viral infections.

Peppermint - This oil is antiseptic, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory. It is soothing, cooling, and dilating to the system.

Eucalyptus - may have a profound antiviral effect upon the respiratory system.  It may also help reduce inflammation of the nasal mucous membrane.

Melaleuca - has expectorant properties, it may also help with bronchitis, coughs, and inflamation.

Lemon - promotes health, healing, physical energy, and purification.  It's great for the respiratory system.

Ravensara - is a powerful antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-infectious oil. It may help dilate, open, and strengthen the respiratory system.  As a cross between clove and nutmeg, it may also help support the adrenal glands.

This blend is perfect for diffusing during the night for a restful sleep.

To open the sinuses, or for the flu, colds, or pneumonia - run hot steaming water into the sink, put in a few drops of breathe and wintergreen, put a towel over your head and inhale deeply.

Serenity - the oil for Anxiety, Stress, Tension and ADHD

Serenity is a calming blend - soothes feelings of stress, excitement, and anxiety and helps bring the body to its natural state of health.

Oils contained in this blend are:

Lavender - calming and sedative properties. It also helps lift feelings of depression and anxiety.
*note - those that know me well know that I'm not one to nap.  I have to be at my wits end a walking Zombie to be able to lay down and actually nap - otherwise I lay there thinking of all things I should be up doing.  The other day I was chilled to the bone and no amount of layers was helping so I thought I'd take a bath and put 3 drops of lavender in the water.  I love the smell of lavender and didn't really think about the properties it had.  When I got out I cleaned up my room and then sat on my bed to work on a chapter of a book.  I didn't get to far before I realized I was tired, my schedule this month is on the hectic side - and 2 hours later I woke up refreshed and ready to hit the day again.
Sweet Marjoram - helps to relax, calm and promote peace.
Roman Chamomile - is calming and relaxing. Helps relieve muscle tension as well as calm nerves and sooth emotions
Ylang Ylang - calming sedative properties. It brings back the feeling of self-love, confidence, joy and peace.
Sandalwood - is calming and also a sedative. It helps balance and harmonize the emotions and may help ease nervous tension.
Vanilla Bean Extract - is calming and eases tension.

The wonderful thing about doTERRA Essential Oils is that you use 1 or 2 drops.  Such a small amount goes far in helping promote health and wellbeing.

What is an Essential Oil? How is it Used?

Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant. If you have ever enjoyed the gift of a rose, a walk by a field of lavender, or the smell of freshly cut mint, you have experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. Essential oils can lift the mood, calm the senses, and
elicit powerful emotional responses. Yet the use of essential oils goes well beyond their fragrant appeal.
Essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits. Modern trends towards more holistic approaches to self care and growing scientific validation of alternative health practices are driving a rediscovery of the profound health benefits of essential oils. Many have powerful cleansing properties and are naturally antimicrobial. Their unique chemical structure allows them to pass directly through the skin for immediate systemic response to topical application. And certain oils may be used as dietary aids to promote vitality and wellbeing.

How is it used?

Essential oils are used for a very wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. They can be used singly or in complex blends depending on user experience and desired benefit. Essential oils are usually administered by one of three methods: diffused aromatically, applied topically to the skin, or taken internally as dietary supplements. Using essential oils can be both profoundly simple and life changing at the same time. Working with someone who has used essential oils before will help first-time users have a more beneficial and enjoyable experience. Essential oils are naturally safe and have few, if any, undesirable side effects when used as directed. They are, however, powerfully
concentrated and should be used with care. Be sure to use only 100% pure therapeutic-grade essential oils and follow all label warnings and instructions. Essential oils should never be used in the eyes or inside the ear canal. If redness or irritation occurs when using essential oils topically, simply apply a
vegetable oil such as fractionated coconut oil to the affected area—water will not dilute essential oils. Consult your physician before using essential oils if you are pregnant or under a doctor’s care.
